GoPro shortage

Just talked to LCE, NO Gopros available, Called GoPro, told to call the Importer maddisons, they have no idea when they will be available again, few shops in the UK now have stocks, !!!!!!!

As someone with a mobility scooter, what exactly is a GoPro and how might it help me?

He is going to London, mounting the go pro on the handle bars will allow him to record his journey, also as he finds it hard to use a camera he can "video" his visits to museums and one click pressing a button on the gopro takes a 14MP image

they record at up to 4k resolution too which for a very small unit is very high quality

I bought One Of These a couple of weeks ago and the quality is everywhere near as good as the GoPro, and if all your friend wants it for is his scooter handle bars...

Back in the old days, when my mum got wind of a shortage, she used to be down the Co-Op in a crack. She'd stock up with whatever it was that was supposedly in short supply and it didn't matter if it was spaghetti hoops, oxtail soup, Spam, pineapple chunks or chicken flavoured cat food, she'd buy 45 cans minimum. So I got to thinking and.....

 

After a day spent on the interwebular purchasing device, I've managed to secure 143 GoPro thingies and they're being delivered tomorrow. I think I could make a killing here     

 

Up here for thinkin', down there for dancin'.

No I meant generally, they would not be as good as GOPRO for sports

I've seen the Top Gear lads modify mobility scooters to go up mountains, perhaps they could fit floatations devices then weld an outboard to one for your friend - 3m waterproofing would still likely be ok though.......mind you if they fitter a jet-ski motor and outriggers it would be a right giggle on the local duck pond.
