Sheep at Sunset, Devon

A Summer evening in Devon and the sheep wander of to settle down under the setting sun.

Nice image but I can't make up my mind about the sheep - are they too bright/contrasty, or not? Excellent composition though but.

Its the sky i think is burnt out the sheep and lower 2/3 look good to me

I've checked the image in PS and there are no blown highlights, although the shadows are lost in places but IMHO helps in this image

 

There is however the odd dust bunny that needs attention

The composition and the light are lovely. 

 

I could clearly see one dust spot in the sky, but apart from that.......

Landscapes in portrait don't usually work for me but I really like this one. I too think thwe sheep are a tad burned out but the whole composition really works for me.

Thanks Chrisy, Your right, the sky was so bright and the valley so dark I had to work a bit to bring the shadows out. Perhaps I could have used HDR? but I'm not too ken on it,
