Dancefloor memories

I spent yesterday at a 1940s do at  Ramsey in Cambridgeshire, and there was a big tent with a dancefloor where a few brave souls ventured out in front of the crowd. Some beginners joined in dance lessons, others just had a dance with not a care for all the watchers.

 

This particular couple caught my eye as a 'memories' picture, especially with the lady dressed as she was.

Great pics Bugsy.....love 'em....

But, that is late 1920s costume, I'm sure?

My mum's wedding dress was a white version of that one in 1926 her cloche hat was very similar too.

Its good to see Gerald and Jean enjoying themselves Bugs

Its a devels own getting a good shot of dancers, ones always away from you

Knowing the dance helps enormously you can guess where they will be next

 

But, that is late 1920s costume, I'm sure?

Quite true Fuji they are well known on the scene and tend to dress 20/30's but who cares they look good

I haven't noticed them before, but they certainly looked good yesterday.

They are from up our way bugs

I didnt know they travelled that far must have had passports and innoculations

Noo it's no quite "darn sarf", but passports are not needed (innoculations maybe )
