Can any of you ID this Beetle please?

It isnt the first time that we have seen one of these distinctive beetles, scuttling about on the quarry tiled floor at the bottom of the stairs.........they seem to be newly emerged.

Emerged, yes.......but from where?

We live in a Victorian ( 1875) terraced house, with mainly wooden floors downstairs, it was all treated against, wood-borers by Rentokil way back in 1966 when we first moved in.

I could be very wrong, but to me it looks like very much like a mealworm beetle, if that little indent on the body is anything to go by. Likes to live in dried plant material, including stored cereals. The larvae are the mealworms we all buy for feeding birds....indoors they can be all year round Fuji...outside May-August. They will also breed in old birds nests..
