Spider alert.

Don't look ladies (or gents) if you have arachnophobia...

 

This mummy spider is still looking after her future offspring - on the garden fence here. I wonder how tired they get from carrying all that lot around!

How long do they have to walk round like that Paul? My spiders still look like this two weeks after I first spotted the cocoons, I keep expecting to see adults carrying babies on their backs.

I think they are carried for about 20 days. Once they hatch though, the babies ride the mothers back for up to two weeks!
