Hunting through some old pictures this afternoon came across this one I shot a while back, so please forgive me if you have seen this one before. The is the central tower of Lincoln Cathedral the photo was taken late afternoon as the sun was going down lighting up one side of the tower whilst keeping everything else in shadow and has always been one of my fav photos.

The tower is over 480ft tall and once had a spire nearly same height which at the time made it the tallest building in Europe.

It actually look a a bit 'unreal' with the light shining on the tower, Colin, but don't you just love the detail in these lovely old buildings!
