Bottlebrush flowers were a subject on one of Fuzzy's posts recently, and I said ours were just about to come in to bloom. This is one of the best Bottlebrushes I have seen. It's one of the Callistemon Viminalis species, I think King's Park Special, and it's just outside the entrance to our local supermarket, totally neglected, but it puts on a show like this every year:

By the look of the plump bud, there is more to come:

The bees, and any nectar eating birds just love it!
