Hi, Korky,

Ive taken the liberty of using my methods to pop this pic of yours.............working on a JPEG isnt easy though, so not quite, but getting there?

You will note that I have toned down the other figure, then used Contrast Grading to emphasise tone and texture as well as brightening the highlights and shadows on the accordian and harness.

A final selective sharpening has added more texture....but JPEG sharpening isnt easy.

Yup, I'd echo that.

Mainly caused by attempting to work my method on a much reduced JPEG.......my essential ideas are there,.......a bit like being able to ......Play all the right notes..............but not necessarily..........in the right order ;-)

Looking at it from a bit of distance gives a good idea of what I intended........NO! Not a hundred yards.

Thanks very much for your involvement in the B&W threads - I've found your comments and efforts very informative.

I've spent a week trying to get to grips with Aperture and making it play nice with Elements and I've been trying to improve my B&W processing - so much so that my head is spinning.

No photo processing today, I'm meeting friends for a walk in the wilds of Cheshire and a pub lunch in a boozer where they don't mind muddy boots.

Thanks again

Korky
