Well, it finally stopped raining, so out I went.  Had decided to try manual everything, including focus and do some long exposure stuff.  Wandered down to Teesmouth for a look at the waves and watch the surfers, took some shots of the surfers on high ISO and auto focus, turned the focusback to manual and took some long exposures.  Gets home to discover that my head had decided the camera was on autofocus.  What a lot of blurry sh*t I have :-)  And I managed to smash myself in face with my tripod! Right on the bridge of the nose, it bled impressively - for quite a long time!!

Anyway, I got a couple

Thanks, the third one - I think - suits the square crop, there'a a fair bit more sea in the original one, and the lights of the offshore windfarm.  I like the "half pipe" shape of the new sea defenses, and I quite like the vertical pier - although it appears the people of Redcar hate it :-)

The first one is taken from one of the ww2 gun emplacements that were there to protect the Tees
