SOFT and FRUITY

Recommended Posts

That Twenty Quid Chinese lens is rapidly becoming one of my favourites, here, as you can see, it gives a very arty feel to a simple subject.....the shallow depth of field when wide open offers lots of oportunity for very real camera creativity.

This is an....as-taken shot of a bowl of just washed grapes on my sink edge, you can see how beautifully the lens has softened what would have been an intrusive background with many other lenses.

This and my recent portrait posts prove that expensive lenses and cameras arent always the answer to good photographs, an open mind plus a creative spirit and whatever camera you have to hand at the time can get results:

I'm not keen to get the Chinese lens infection that you've given Graham (poor sod, I hope they do suppositories in Norfolk), but I full agree that expensive kit is not the necessarily the way to great images.

This shot is lovely and simple and I likes it loads. I'm also quite keen on grapes. As well as the liquid they're processed into.
