WINTER DEPRESSION

This is what the recent Winter Storm looked like as it approached Kenilworth the other day, bright morning sun was spotlighting trees and buildings at a low angle as the great black clouds of the depression rolled it....an very theatrical moment.

 

The architecture at the Square end of the town is a mish-mash of 1960s boxes plus this mock Art Deco of the white Gastro Pub..........the reason?

 

A nazi landmine blew the old Square into oblivion in 1941, lots of people died inclding the grandparents of my best mate and a number of evacuuees bombed out of Coventry..............the whole site was derelict until the mid 1960s.

 

This then, is the approach of another devastating storm:
