The third one I think you have a bit too much of the berry tree, the second one is superbly framed with the tower in the rise of the foliage, but for me the first one really stands out!

Excellent fore-and mid-ground details and the added bonus of a very clear distance view under that big wide sky. I also like the way the clock face seems to be picked out by light to make it an eye-catcher

Although I am not known as a conformist, I have to agree with everyone else on number 1 being my fave. :) I really love the sky, and the whole image is just a pleasure to look at.

Number 2 is a close 2nd though.

I think the berries and the church are both competing for attention in number 3. But I like the light and clarity in the image

Thanks for all the kind comments, it makes up for all the pictures that were a disaster on this outing. I originally went out to photograph an English Heritage site, the Old Rectory, but the sky was totally burnt out and the shadows were dark and full of noise. I will go back and take bracketed shots next time, maybe a bit of HDR.

I had never visited this church before so just went for a walk around. The lighting seemed a bit flat and uninspiring but I took several shots anyway. I imported them into Lightroom and applied a self made preset that has all the regular changes that I make to most pictures and they just POPPED! I love it when that happens! :yes
