Picture the scene if you will:

 

"Thomas?"

 

"Yes dad?"

 

"Go wash your hands before you sit down to dinner."

 

"Yes dad."

 

A little time later I popped upstairs to the bathroom and discovered the sink looking like this.

 

How?

 

No really - how?

 

What the Hell did he do to get the sink, the tap.....please pay particular attention to the tap.....the walls and the general vicinity?

Seriously the mind boggles.

I hesitate to ask what he'd been doing before washing!

Boys will be boys..............and we always reckoned that WE had............the muckiest kid......but I'm not sure now;-)

He must have been painting, or dabbling in the pickled beetroot?

Wait until he's a teenager ... then it's his mind you will need to start worrying about, not the basin!

At least he washed - mine seem able to have a bath without the tub getting wet :-)

He had been playing with an arts & craft set - stickers, felt, pencils, crayons, coloured paper.....the usual things you'd let a five year old loose on without tight supervision.

 

I have no idea where the red goo came from or why the entire tap was smeared with it, the tiles a good two feet above the sink were splashed with it and everything.....everything....was covered in it.

 

Boys should be messy - Fuji you're right, we all did it - but the little bugger has a certain knack of making quite the most incredible mess.
