RAT BAG!

If I remember right.....that chippie on the Quayside is one of the best in the country......and they taste even better if eaten outside on a nice day.

For the benefit of others.......I did a little serious courting at Wells- Next-The-Sea..........but five years before that a mate and I cycled there from Warwickshire two years running.....the first time in 1954 the year after the devastating East Coast Flood.......the whole camp site and where the Smiley Cups cafe is, was three to five feet deep in Silver Sand swept over the sea defences.....pitching a tent was almost impossible ....ever tried getting tent eggs to grip in dry silver sand?

Just fifteen years old we were....cycled 137 miles in a day....got severely sunburnt all down one side, because we were cycling due east on a very hot August Day......and we're daft enough to do it all again the next year.

Not tellin' you about me courtin' though ;-)

We have returned quite a few times since......in our 1966 VW Camper.......APPY DAYS!

That second shot is superb, well done.

When I worked for the DHSS in Norwich Wells-next-the-Sea was part of my area, I used to go from norwich right out to Cromer and Blakeney Point.  Have to say, its all a bit desolate once the summer ends - but I liked it best that way :-) drive for ages and not see a soul.  Mind, when you were lost, you were proper lost!

your all too kind, but you all keep me going..

I have to find my way back from the magic of macro bugs during the summer, or I will do nothing all winter. I promised myself today I would not do one single bug shot, unfortunately I failed and caved in.

I think the beach shots I got today will make their way onto my hand made cards that I make and sell....

Wells-next-to...

great place seldom bizy,2nd pic -  I would have preferred the horizon on the upper 3rd (more beach, more isolation) but its still a good un'.

1st picture nice but I think the small sand dune/mound bottom left spoils it somewhat, Annie did you take one from the front ?
