This is an experimental version of one from a set of portraits of one of my Great Nephews................Here I have used my usual processing plus a few adjustments in TOPAZ Filters:

I discovered earlier this year that the single under-Unit strip-light minus its diffuser gave a wonderful quality of directional light........just right for this kind of portrait........it works well for Mono processing too.............sometimes, there is no need to use too many lights or flashes:

Thank You!

Here is another version of the same shot...I created it whilst desperately searching for the Two-Tone filters in CS 6 0r TOPAZ......that evaded me.......

....But not put off, I explored the use of the ......HIGH PASS ...filter.....it produced the beginnings of ths High-Key version............I think his parents will love it?

Two questions?

1:  Is there a Two-Tone filter in CS6 or TOPAZ?..........I'm surre that I have seen them but now I want to experiment they are evading me:

2 : In CS 6 my usual Workspace has altered......dont ask me how but it keeps doing strange things when I'm not looking...........I usually work in ...SCREEN VIEW with tools showing left and Layers ets showing Right........................Now it just keeps starting with FULL SCREEN as default...it is very frustrating to continually reset the Screen-View....can I return it to DEFAULT please?

CHEERS!

Just on the point of going for a walk along Lancashire's River Ribble, but just had to comment on this....

It's the colour version for me - apart from the super processing (isn't Topaz a Godsend?) the boy's expression is just beautiful. There's a sadness there that just makes me melt.

Great work, Fooj.
