tough week this week with some excellent images, after much thought it came down to two which as it turned out were both Portrait shots. Saucy by bugmeister was an excellent shot of a very pretty model with a saucy glint in her eye but it was just pipped at the post by this slightly older lady with a faraway look on her face. There is so much character in her face and she looks like she has lived a busy life and has many stories to tell. This weeks POTW is from Martyn

OMG, I can't believe this! I think I said in one of my blog posts that there was one picture I went out to capture; this was the lady, Cathy, who is squire of the Westmorland Step and Garland Dancers. I didn't get the shot that I saw in my mind but was well pleased with what I did capture.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement and making me feel so welcome as a newbie to both photography and this forum!
