Wasnt fireball xl5 a spaceship and it might have docked at a space station or am I thinking of space patrol

 yes it was but never docked with a space station, I think more 'Deep Space Nine'

this is true BUT in episodes 25& 26 The Forbiden Planet XL5 traveled to a manned space station deep in space Manned by Professor Matic and Dr Stamp who were observing Nutopia

Unfortunatly it was built without a docking station

Hence the reply to my title was  NO
