Thanks Kev, had to resort to my compact Lumix tz60 for this shot couldn't get in close enough with my brick, no 2 is no1 with a bit of a crop

Sadly the chicks went the same way as the blackbird chicks, dispite efforts to protect them them. The crows got them :39_angry:

Aw ... I have the same dilemma with the moorhen babies and the ducklings on our pond ... Nature  can seem cruel sometimes ... they seem to be born in large numbers. ....Just to become Lunch for the next species up the chain. out of 16 ducklings only one has survived....
