DESIGNING A PHOTO BOOK

Recommended Posts

After taking advice from one of my shooting pals, I took the plunge and decided to design a trial Photo Book featuring 20 of my best recent mono Street Photographs.

He recommended I use BLURB and it's BOOKWRIGHT software ..... he had shown me his first efforts using them...... I was very impressed.

To cut a long story short, my first hardcover book arrived this morning.....it is truly amazing......can't believe it is my work......the quality of the mono printing, is second to none.

There are of course.....other book design companies...such as VISTA PRINT ........I mustn't push for just the one?

Do any other members of TIPF, have a go?

I used vistaprint once some years ago and found the quality lacking. Best mid-priced company I would recommend is Photobox and they never quibble if you are not happy, soon replacing an item. If you sign up on photobox web page you will find they often send money off deals.

You've got me looking at these Fuji, I am going to have one made in the new few months. I want to capture some shots of my little girl, and then I think I will produce one each year as a Christmas present to show the best bits of the previous year.

Thanks for the inspiration.

How about showing us the pictures you have chosen for your book?

Hi, Rick,

Thank you for your kind words, so pleased to learn that I have motivated you.....if using Blurb, please ensure that your pics load up to their specification for best results.

All of the pics featured in my book have been on the forum here first.....If you can look back through my previous posts, just check out all the mono ones, I chose them from the best.
