That will drive you insane

Nah, the display is tucked away and is likely to stay there. The meters are buried behind the TV stand in a very difficult to get to cupboard, I've only had the meters fitted to prevent the hassle of having to drag it all out every 3 months to read the ruddy things.

I have to go outside to read my electric meter, so I'm waiting for the smart meters to be fitted in our area.

I applied for one ages ago.

I've had a Smart Meter now since Sept, it hasn't drove me into a power nazi yet, but then there's just me - but I have been switching things off from Standy-by that I'm not using, or if I planning on going out for more than a couple of hours I switch off all my pc's - I've also switched all my lights over to LED's. The biggest lecky users of all - aside from the electric cooker are all the various computers that are on most of the day (2pc's, 3 monitors, 2 external drivers, printer, scanner, router, speakers and a partridge in a pear tree... ok so no partridge, but I have noticed a huge difference when I'm out most of the day and they're all switched off to when I'm in). I've found it useful to be able compare day to day, most are the same...

Also don't forget the Standing Charges - for me it's roughtly 35p a day whether I use any gas or lecky (it's 20p per day for gas - I know, when I had the gas leak after fitted the smart meters it still showed a 20p a day charge even when no gas could be used.)

Well, what a surprise, today we had clear blue skies, hardly a cloud in sight, but work meant I was stuck inside aprt from 30 minutes when I needed to go into town. I only managed 10 shots, 6 were unsuable, 2 were the exact same shot (I tend to shoot on continous mode), so I had 3 to work with..
