DARK HISTORY

My title says it all.......this is the....Strong Tower.......in Kenilworth Castle, the tower that contains Dungeons acessible only via a deep down a steep spiral staircase.

Our Castle has a long and sometimes very dark history....it is well worth reading up on if you are interested in times of old.

This was taken through a Vintage OPTOMAX 1:2.8-35 mm Lens using predefined manual settings and operation.

Converted in CS 6 then completed in Nik Silver Efex.

Thank you both.

Yes Pollly......just 44 miles......If I can make it ( with help) to get to your fair City, Im sure you could make it to mine.

As long as ai get plenty of notice, and there are no special events on, I would be happy to meet up to show you around, or, for you to do your own thing, then meet for a coffee in the Castle Cafe afterwards.

Monday's,Tuesday's and Thursdays are good for me......currently the visitor numbers are up because of school holidays.....I don't mind but they might get under your feet or distract you from photography.

Thanks Fooj ..... I have a pretty hectic few weeks with a grandson staying  but after that  I may have a few days  free before  I'm off to Porto  for a break ... I'm sure  a coffee and a castle visit  will be on the cards  then .
