Samsung SMT210 to Windows 7 PC, Explorer freezes up..

Recommended Posts

I have searched the net for an answer, but maybe one of you super techie people can tell me why I can see all of the wifes photos on her tablet but cannot transfer them to the PC.

I connect using the USB cable, my computer sees the files on her tablet. I try to send or copy and paste her photos into a folder on my computer, or an extrernal drive, and explorer freezes up or hangs forever.

Any help appreciated!

Tried everything that I know of Paul.

It is a Win7 machine, but the same problem is shared across the spectrum of 7, 8 and 10 it seems. we are going to try an SD micro card in the slot and see if we can transfer to that , then the PC via the card reader.

Cheers for answering :)

I really don't hear of many people using Explorer these days. And how is your browser relevant to uploading photos anyway?

Its not, It is Windows explorer that freezes up when I connect the tablet to the PC, my browser is firefox...

There is absolutely no reason to be pedantic and rude - it is quite clear and absolutely obvious this thread is talking about Explorer and not the web brouser.

If you're not sure of the difference please see this: https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/app_win_explorer.mspx?mfr=true

Sorry Chris but no, that is the problem. I am going to download BP's suggested kies software.... when I get five minutes to meself that is!

Ah, I thought you were trying to 'pull' the pictures from your wife's tablet (pulling from new to old); whereas 'pushing' from new to old would be different. Older machines often cannot deal adequately - or even at all - with the new, while newer machines can often deal better with the old (at least, that's the case with Macs).
