Freezing cold this morning, very windy - had to chase the bin twice and jam it into a corner to stop it attacking the car - and its not what I'd call bright but a camera sitting in a bag in the house is a crying shame.

Quickly grabbed as she walked past.

What a great image. You have perfectly caught the struggle of the walker to get along. The head down attitude, the walking stick and the dogs lagging behind make this image something special.

To add a little to the scene.

It was about -2 and I had just dropped two, very wrapped up, little boys at school and was wandering down the lane past the village church. This lady who must have been....well nearly as old as Fuji - I know - that old.....walked past and said hello as I was looking for snow drops. I quickly changed to a longer lens and grabbed four shots. This, the first, was the only one without camera shake. Oddly I don't recall seeing her before and I walk this way regularly so get to recognise the local characters.....At a guess I'm one of them.

isnt it funny how we wander around with our cameras looking for "local characters" without once thinking about the fact that we are probably considered just that by others, i certainly hadnt thought about it till just now, so thanks for that BP lol

LOL.........You rotten lot........Your turn is coming.........( much quicker than you think it will)..........mark my words.......once you've hit 40 time accelerates more and more as each year passes.

That aside........I am known and recognised now.....as the ......Man With a Camera......which is why I can do my local .....Street Photography.......in. Relaxed manner.

I've been doing my damnedest to find a man unloading a mirror off a lorry just lately ;-)
