Our kangaroos are starving, and we have been putting hay out for them each evening and this was what I got just a few minutes ago:

Meanwhile there were another 4 round the back eating the birdseed!

Judy, we normally would buy one or two bales at the end of January, and that would get them through. This year we have been putting extra food out since early December, and still going so it is particularly bad. These 'Mums' come back here for generations, so we work on the principle that we live in their land, and not the other way around. If we can help a bit we will.

We have be classified as in severe drought in our area now, so this is worse than usual. This season the 'roos have been eating things they don't normally touch - like all my garlic chives, thyme, rosemary and sage leaves, and several ornamentals, so my garden is now down to the shade house only, because that is enclosed. It's harsh!!
