At some stage in the last 10 years, I must have got a demo or something from ON1 as I have noticed e-mails from them appearing - think I defined them as Spam a while ago so  hadn't noticed the free offer. Not sure I used the plugins back then as I don't recognise any of them from their site

Checking the site, it looks as if they are only offering about a third of their software for free - or maybe I've misinterpreted.

It's very confusing. I downloaded it and on installation it told me "No!", I must have OS X 10.8 or later. However, there is a plugin for Photoshop CS6 (or later) which I have and use. So, how do I install the Photoshop plugin if it won't allow me to install the stand-alone software?

For Windows:

Double click on your main drive, open program files, then open your Adobe file, then open plugins. Copy or drag your new plugins into the plugins folder.

Unfortunately, the Mac download is an installer package - there's no 'Show package contents' with it. You have to do the install first.

Apparently not. I've now asked them for an older version than '10', especially as they're giving their stuff away free, and an older version would be much less valuable.
