A brush with oil paint and Spring

Used a heavy flow oil, dry brush with the smudge tool at 79 % maximum( and varying sizes.)  in PHOTOSHOP to paint this....cropped and rotated from a photo..

I pulled the colours back a bit too as they were too bright  for what I wanted the image for ...

You've created a lovely image with the brush work.

I'm struggling a bit with the width of the black border, it seems to dominate and overpower the more important stuff.

However, it'd look superb on a big canvas. Let me know when it's available at Argos and I'll have one for the billiards room.

Thanks Korks and Judy I used the framing in Nik last night and tried about 6 different ones ... To be honest  I didnt realise i had the white still on it  till i posted it by which time  my bed was calling

I  do like the broad black myself  but have just taken the white off to see if you still prefer less black.. I t may have been an optical illusion ... Thanks  for all the input peeps...it all helps.

Thanks Chrissy ... The second one was just to show the RAW photo file that I used  to make the painted   image  from  ....but glad you enjoyed the painted detail takn from it
