Alonso's crash toggers view

Recommended Posts

Foe anyone that follows F1 this was probably the worst looking crash for a long time Ive ever seen

Here are the stills and how they were taken

Very good images of a split second incident it shows how luck and forward planning go hand in hand

It was heart stopping watching  the first replay of it as  it wasn't shown live was it .it was .a few seconds after the event .. I thought for a second it was Senna moment ...something I'll never forget seeing live . Thank God  for the safety improvements in those carbon capsules eh ...

Thanks for the Link Fuzz...

I thought the TV slow-mo images were also rather frightening, Mr Alonso is a very lucky boy that he didn't hit the wall a little more to the right. he seemed very relaxed about it in the after race press conference but it must take some good psychological skills to climb back into an F1 car after things like this?

The first TV shots were of Alonso walking away and being hugged by ?Grosjean. THEN they showed the pictures of the crash and you just couldn't believe it, how he walked away. It was reminiscent of Mark Webber's spectacular aerial cartwheel a few years back, in Spain. You just think, "How the hell does someone survive that?". It's bitterly ironic that Bianchi's fatality was from something comparatively much less dramatic.
