Porsche Carrera Cup, Croft 2015

Thanks Korky :) I took the shot with:

Nikon D810, F/11, 1/320 sec, ISO 200 with Nikon 70-200mm F/2.8 VR lens at 200mm. It is by far the most expensive lens I have ever bought but it is amazing and from how I've used it so far, looks pin sharp at every aperture and focal length and the VR is very impressive for panning shots like these.

I like it too, but I don't remember Croft having such a step hill?

It isn't steep at all, in fact not even a hill! just a slight camera tilt to give it a bit more impact :)

ooohhhh.... another motorsport fan!!

cracking shot..

I am indeed Leon :) and thanks

Like it David. Great action shot with the wheels off the ground. Nice wheel blur.

Thanks Kev, it's amazing how quickly that moment is over...I had quite a few failed attempts before nailing it!

Here's 1 very close to where the Porsche was, from an earlier racing qualifier. Not sure which one it was now and not quite as good a photo and not as tight a crop but I think it shows your point about the impact Colin - it is still there, however I think it is heightened in the Porsche Photo

Nice  capture David ...   Like it. :D

I might have cropped the first one, with more  space in front than behind  the car if it is possible ... it  would  give the illusion of speed  more with it moving forward into the  space,  for me ... but  it is just a personal opinion.
