A First for me

Taken during some storms we had the other day.

First for me to capture the lightning, chuffed to bits, will be watching tonight to see if I can do it again.

Good catch, we had storms too on Wed. I've never tried taking a photo of lightening before, I'm guessing you'd need a longish exposure.

these were taken hand held and only 1/125 @‌f2.8. lucky, as they were the only 2 I managed to get.

tried to get some during the night storm, a couple came out but not as good as these.

saw a pic of lightning at the tyne bridge, was it from a video? this seems the way to capture lightning and then take a still from the video, takes away the skill & effort I think from trying to capture an image with a still camera.
