the display is so big it contains as part of it a two storey carousel. ( not sure if thats spelt right but you know what i mean) the display is huge and colourful and so chrismassy.with christmas trees and giant baubles hanging down everywhere and white fairly lights and moving characters and father christmas and a train for the kids to ride around it on . they always do a fantastic job. Wish i could take one big picture of it to show you as it defies believe really... its magical :)

It is always a good display, except the space shuttle one, at Christmas but they're not as good as the ones in the 80's. In those days the Centre's own Maintanence Team used to make the buildings, decorate everything and they used real Xmas trees.....loads of them.

The little houses would have lights inside with people moving inside and either talking or, in the case of the big church on the hill in 1986, singing. Strangely in 1989 they stopped us in Security from helping out on the display (as overtime)....might be 'cos we all headed off to the pub and didn't come out for a few hours!

The kids certainly still love the display, and a charity always gets the proceeds from the Wishing Pond, but its a shame those overpriced 'stalls' were put in there.

Richard - Jean took a picture of that piece of the display, but at a different angle; I'll have to get her to stick her's on when she gets home.

wish i had seen it back then Lee, weve only been here for about 11 years

Heather, it used to be great. The Maintanance Team used to do a really good job and put their heart and soul into the work.

I worked in the Security Department for 8 years from '88 but i never took a photo in the display; had some cracking fun but never took a photo.
