Using Korky's texture..

Recommended Posts

I'm glad they've been useful - the peeling paint texture is one of my favourites.

I like what you done, but I wonder if the flower should be a little 'cleaner'. I assume you've done the work using a mask and perhaps a bit more texture should have been removed over the petals.

Just my opinion, it'll be interesting to see what others think.

PS - Are you a Photoshop and Lightroom CC subscriber? If so, there is a superb free textures panel available. Look at the 'add ons' section on the Adobe website.

Sorry .... I thought I had posted a reply Korky ... sometimes   if I 'm using the iPad... it doesn't register  my touch ... and i'm usually using it whilst watching a tv programme so ... lesson to be learned ... not as good at multitasking as I thought I was ....doh.. Thaks for the tip about the add ons ... I'd forgotten about those .

I painted the rhodo with a dry brush so that it had a painted texture  before I added you texture as a layer as I wasn't looking to have the flower look to much like  a crisp photo ... I didn't use a mask this time  just erased some of your texture from the layer after I just selected, moved and transformed your image after dragging it onto my image and using the overlay blending option . I appreciate  your take on it  and will try it with the original flower image. I hope to have a go at your other textures next week  sometime when my visitors staying for the week have retired for the night ...lol .Thanks again for making them available  to use ...   I have plans for the woolly  one in particular .... cheers !

Looks like we'll never find out what others think!

I look forward to seeing your next twiddles  - especially the wooly one. I've not used any of them yet, but I've got one or two ideas.

I don't think they quite work together. Separately they're great.
