A Mystery subject........Can anyone guess what it might be, and how it was done?

Here you go.......you were all very close....it is one of the very rotten logs which  I keep on my back lawn to attract creepy crawlies for my Macro photography.

It was my method of lighting here that was very different, I used an experimental way to get light to exactly where required, by using a Pound Shop USB LED computer lamp plugged into a Solar Power Pack, both attached to an arm mounted on the flash bracket of my camera.

These small but relatively powerful lights have a coiled flexible stalk which makes them infinitely adjustable.....they are a bit blue, so white balance needs to be adjusted accordingly.

There are other shots from this experiment still to be processed......our TIPF macro enthusiasts may like to try this too?
