Usually, about this time of year, I post a couple of pictures that show what we refer to as 'our Serengeti look' - dry, yes, but grassy as well. We have missed out this year as we are desperate for rain. Took a couple on Monday morning, and I'm not sure if we are now the Sahara, the Kalahari or the Atacama!!! Look at the colour of the ground - and this is really the way it looks:

Not much for the stock next door to eat - as you can see they rely on brought in hay. Even our 'roos are struggling, so we are buying hay for them too :D:

Thanks all.  Chris, & Geoff it would be great if those skies would intensify and darken and drop something on us!!

 

Bit 'full on' just now Colin, but hey, who knows!!

That topped up our house tanks, as David did not want me to have to cart or buy water during his 'off period' - we still have 8,000 gallons - no probs. :D
