I have had about 32 ferrets over the years as I used to long term foster for a rescue. I have only had fifteen all in one when the rescue was chocablock  go, and although they had a shed and big run to play in, they used to come into the house at night time.

Sadly I lost one a short while ago and now down to one as the rescue has closed.
Angel will be my last ferret and we are getting older by the day and have to be sensible as we have to climb over a door gate when Angel is out for her playtimes.

She is only four so by the time she is ready to cross the Bridge, it will be time for us to slow down and just stick to the little dog.

I have had a couple of biters, but they turned right around and became the loveliest natured ferrets.
I have had some terminal ones and a couple of biters so that I could give them more one to one as the rescue had thousands passing through their doors and I had more time to spend with individual ones.

The rescue lady's day started at 6 am and never ended until an after of 9pm.
That's not counting the mother-less kits that she had to bottle feed every hour, and the time that she went out in her pyjamas with her husband to pick up a stray ferret off the motorway.
I am proud to have helped in a very small way, and proud that I met this lady and we are still good friends.

I used to use the old milk on the back of the hand to get them used to me, I only ever had one bite me once but it was my own fault, I stupidly tried to kiss her on the nose and she sunk her teeth into my lip but let go as soon as she realised it was me but bloody hell did that hurt lol

LOl. We used Ferretone.

I've only had two lock on bites in the 11 or so years that I have had them.

One on my ear lobe from one of my first two ferrets when I forgot all warnings of getting a new ferret too near to my face, and one on my finger from a very nervous little jill who had been mis-treated by her last owners.

Dee (Kiobone) had her first experience with a ferret bite today when she wanted to see Angel and I woke her up. Needless to say, I think she got a couple of good pics of her.

Thanks everyone, as always I appreciate the negative comments as well as the positive so if there is ever anything you would change about my images please don't be afraid to say as it helps me to progress :)
