Not sure if this engine house is in the show or not, but it's certainly in the same area!

It really does look like the shot they use at the end of the show - that's at sunset too! And there was one scene where two of the main leads were sitting by the mine, on the cliff edge with the sea behind. Unless there are two mines in almost identical locations, that must be the same one I'd have thought.

This is Cornwall, mines on clifftops are two-a-penny!

 

I will pay more attention when the show is next on and see if I can work out where it is.

It's uncertain : Googling has brought up that the Poldark shot may be the Levant mine, but they also filmed around St Agnes Head which is where Wheal Coates is located. 50/50 I'd say.

Nice shot. I like to regularly walk around there as I find it a peaceful location. I saw the Poldark film crew up there a while back so some of the immediate area will appear in the TV drama. The building in the photo was actually exorcised some years ago after people heard noises/voices.
