Its very random as to what you get - need to keep experimenting.

Yes, I know I've tried light trail photography before (from outside a car) and the results are very random.

I was wondering how you mounted the camera in the car?

Why are the footwells illuminated and what is down there that you would need a light? Or is it just for some nice ambient lighting in the car?

I might have to give this a go......

Ok next serious question, did you use a remote shutter or just a timer?

The car has ambient lighting in the footwells, handles, headliner, pockets all over really - next time I go out I'm going to try its other colours as I can set it to red, green, purple etc etc

I put it on intervalometer with a 1sec gap (the minimum) and just set it away shooting shot after shot. Ended up with 300 most of which are crap as most street lighting is boring.
