I decided to try and redo the image based on comments I'd had. I expected it to be a fairly easy task, but found it very difficult (I obviously did more to the image than I could remember)...

I'm not sure if this image is any better or has different flaws, but here it is...

OK, have done.

In the original version, there is what looks like a double horizon like I misaligned the layers, however this was not the case it just seemed to be a quirk of the painterly effect. I also softened and desaturated the landscape and added a bit more colour to the sky.

I like the second one more ....more foreground detail visible and the colouring  is more subtle and less dramatic .. Don't get me wrong ... I  love a bit of drama but sometimes less can be more .... so for me, in this case, it's latter of the two.
