Washington Children's Strike March

We went along to Beamish today and got enrolled in a march campaigning for free school dinners for children.

I rattled off a few shots as we went along and had a play with a few styles and crops - I've posted them to the Beamish FB page and tweeted a few to them but thought I'd put them here too so you get a flavour of what went on...

I've never been to the Beamish Museum ...  I do know that the Registry office where I got married in Darlington, was moved ,brick by brick there.  I must go and have a look  next time I am in the area ...Maybe we should come and have a pic taken for my 50th anniversary next year !  Some cracking images there Beepy ... a real flavour of days gone by .

Really nice set which very effectively captures a serious commemoration with joyful overtones.  Good to see that despite the hardship of 21st century Britain, the children are obviously better fed (and certainly better dressed) than their 1917 counterparts, .
