  1. Thanks, Polly. I was a bit dubious at first, but then thought, "what the hell, why not" !!
  2. You can blame Korky for this week's theme. When I saw his image of the Pylons on our 52 Week thread, I thought this would be a great opportunity to let your creative juices run wild. Any image, new, old or in between, that depicts Raw Power, be it in nature or perhaps a man made missile, it's up to you. Entries close on Friday 1st. July when voting will commence, until Friday 8th. July.
  3. Many thanks to all those that voted for my image. Really appreciated. Now for this weeks comp.
  4. For those who have just downloaded the 2015.5 version of Photoshop. I had a minor hiccup this morning when I got the warning that Photoshop couldn't open as ONCoreFoundation10.dll was missing. After a mild panic attack, I just copied and pasted this file from the 2015 version and it seems quite happy now. So be warned!
  5. I'm very fond of this image but am not sure it would be allowed, as I showed this last year sometime.
  6. Very nice image, but look what smoking does to your complexion!
  7. Congratulations. Great image, Phil. Panning at its best. Worthy winner.
  8. A good lot of entries this week, well done all. Let the Polling commence and may the best Converging Lines win.

Well done BP. But more to the point, I like Colin's critique. We should have more of it!
  10. Sorry, I missed the start of this thread, Polly. I'll not belabour the point, but glad you walked away ok. 'Aint modern cars miracles of design?
  11. You're probably right, Chris. The bird had almost stopped when I took the shot. Incidentally, that water is crocodile infested and there were signs everywhere telling you not to get out of your car. We were on a causeway which went through the wetlands with water on both sides.
  12. A warm welcome from Oz, Carl. You'll enjoy it here. Good to see you've hit the ground running. I was born not too far from you, in Blackfen.
  13. Spotted this one 500 meters from home this afternoon, after a day out with the local photo group.
  14. This week's Challenge is Converging Lines. We see converging lines in our everyday life and don't even notice. This is our chance to get out there and show your particular slant on this challenging subject. Doesn't matter if it's from the archives or taken yesterday; black and white or outrageous colour. Entries must be in by June 17th, when voting will commence, 'till 24th June.
  15. Thanks folks. It looks like it's my turn to pick a topic.............if I can remember how to do it.
  16. Let's see if we can get this thread on the move again.
  17. Great shot, Rye. It really shows the profile of the wing and a good illustration of how a wing works..
  18. Wish we (Kobione and I) could be there with you all. Would someone take a group photo, with names so I can put a face to our TIPF friends. Deirdre's met some of you but I haven't had that privilege.
