He was in sight if his luggage the whole time, it just took a second or two fir his backpack to be lifted up and away......his fault for being too British.......other travelers would have just abandoned the trolley. FUJI

I have been chatting to a neighbour just returned from a Skiing break in Swizerland..........at the airport whilst waiting for a lift, he returned a luggage trolley to the rack.......YES! You guessed it.... ......When he returned to his bags, a backpack containing a brand new unused iPad, his camera plus other personal bits and bobs had been stolen........The theft ruined what had been planned as a great Christmas break.....he is still negotiating with Swiss officialdom and insurance companies. Two hard lessons learned here... 1: NEVER EVER leave your bags unattended at an airport........opportunists thieves are instantly on the prowl looking for victims just like him. 2: Read the small print on both the purchase protection on any expensive brand new goods, and that of your.....House Contents .....insurance......He had recently agreed to take a cheaper option, not realizing that it compromised claiming for items taken out of the UK. Anyone else had a similar experience? FUJI

When I was asked to be back-up photographer for a distant relatives wedding last summer, I purchased an 18-200, a cracking all-runder of a lens........I was pleasantly surprised when the bride's parents gave me a cheque for the full amount spent as a reward for the pics. You will all know thatI recently challenged myself to master...Bird In Flight ......shots, by practicing on our resident flock of super-fast Black Headed Gulls. It took hours (and I mean hours) of careful observation and practise to capture just a few usable shots. Once the camera settings have been mastered....... freezing an ...In-Focus...flying bird becomes relatively easy....but, it isn't so easy to place that 70 mph plus subject correcty within a frame whilst at the same time capturing it against a suitable Background. Setting the Focus to Constant and practicing high-speed Panning helps: I will continue to practice these recently acquired skills...but what's next??? My Photographic New Years Resolution is........To combine ALL that I have learned so far to produce fewer but better finished photographs........................Not an easy task for a camera wearing oldie with all the time in the world. I also (after watching that excellent Tutorial) intend to use Light...more creatively I can shoot up to 60 pics a day, so it isn't going to be easy: What is your Photograpgic New Year Resolution for 2013? Wow!....................A huge Thank You, what a wonderful surprise to begin the New Year with: My grandson makes a fantastic subject, he is so patient and is keen on Photography so understands about being in the right light.....he is no Goody-Goody though....mant times his tongue will shoot out or he will pull faces that only a ten year old can. I enjoyed taking and processing this one...........He and his parent Love it too: FUJI

If I upgrade both my Windows XP Pro PCs......one a desktop and the other a powerful Tablet..........will they still run all the software already installed......or.....will it mean going through all my old installation CDs and installing it all again......will my printer still work? FUJI
