fairly sure the Fuji HS's are 58mm if that helps anyone, the FZ's are 52mm

ah well, it went for £91.00!!! my max bid wes £65 the wife has agreed to let me splash out a little, opinions please, what would you buy with a modest budget of £300? 2nd hand DSLR or a newer bridge like a Fz150 or maybe HS20 ? I'd prefer full manual focusing and a hotshoe, not to bothered about zoom lens as i'll be keeping my FZ45 the new camera will be used for portraits and macro mostly, give the Raxnox a good go soon as I can

I would love to splash out on a DSLR , I can afford to buy a body but all the other bits to go with it will cost me near a grand? I'm bidding £40 on the FZ50, DSLR will have to wait a couple of years, a newer car is up on the list before a hobby

I want the FZ because I already have filters, and spare batteries ext ...the HS's are 58mm threads I think, plus they take AA's my kids will just nick them for thier toys and stuff like last time!!

I have been watching a couple of FZ50's on ebay, they generally sell for £100 ish 2nd hand, has anyone on here bought a 2nd hand camera?, would you buy 2nd hand? the FZ50 is the only Panasonic bridge I have seen with manual focus and manual zoom like a DSLR lens, plus it has a hotshoe, I would only use it for portrait and macro stuff. otherwise I'm going to start looking for a HS10/20 on the bay of E

Being a petrol head I find myself needing to watch "proper" Motorsport drivers build the cars themselves and care if the car gets trashed as they will have to rebuild it, no team orders (except BTCC which is brilliant) F1 just does not do it for me....(did I mention I may have the opportunity to go to Silverstone with full hospitality later this year?... hypercritical Leon!)

I'v arranged 2 meets for my forum, the first was at Kingsbury Water park in the midlands, the 2nd was sutton park, north Birmingham..just a suggestion, as someone who loves driving providing it was the beginning of the month I'd be there (monthly paid)

in a few years there will only be take aways and bookies where I live...oh and a Weatherspoons called the Robert Shaw (did you know "quint" from jaws was from my home town?) it's a shame, when it was still a village 20 years ago it was full of little independent shops selling allsorts.

I'm back upto speed after a very heated conversation and lots of faffing and discussing I know have broadband running at the speed it should I'll upload some pictures after I put the sproggs to bed :)

I love cold weather, (hate driving in snow though ) I'v just been out on the school field opposite with my 3 kids, I then got bombarded by two other kids I have never met. was excellent fun ...I do wonder though why other parents sit and watch through the window, perhaps I'm just a big kid at heart :)

I think I may not have explained myself properly maybe? I am a realist I know the world is a crappy place, I know we all have different opinions that is what makes a forum, what I was getting at is the one subject which is close to someone's heart, we have a member who has lost his job thanks to a big company going bust, the subject was locked by admin (good work admin peeps) but more threads on the same subject keep coming up, if that was me I would not want it to keep appearing in my online community!! now I know people may think I am just an outspoken idiot with too many opinions but it's not about me is it?

guys and girls, I (when I have broadband ) come on here to see pictures and chat Photography, I know current affairs are part of life but I really do not want to come here and read more about the doom and gloom of the world, plus at least one member here is probably sick of the "Jessops" subject? can we not stick to the topic of the forum more? I have had 2 visits on consecutive days, I have just sent a snotty email, the trouble is if I leave BT Virgin and sky are just as bad! I will not give up!!....also going for compensation for a wasted day off work too :)
