  1. Or a 40D with a Sigma 18-50mm F2.8? I have a 400d at the moment, used mostly with the orginal kit 18-55mm. Someone point me in the right direction before my head explodes!
  2. Have about £350 to spend. Want to stick with Canon to use existing lenses. Want ideally full frame. My choices that suit are limited but in my price range are the MK1 EOS 5d and EOS 1DS. Always fancied a 1D but am I better off forgetting full frame a getting new tech such as 50D? I don't do sports or wildlife, so going to be used for landscapes and street work. Someone help me decide!
  3. Just looked on Nikons spec page, thought you may be able to work it out by simply multiplying the buffer capacity in number of shots by the file sizes.... Nope! So I have no idea!?
  4. Amazon do a few CF to PCMCIA adaptors? Again, not sure what it to be used for but may be a cheaper solution?
  5. What's it for? Just looked at a few on Ebay, but pricey for what looks like old tech?
  6. All in LR. Import from camera and place in folder by date. As I process a folder I create a subfolder within it called JPEGs ( my fininshed edits) and one called WEB versions (600px edits), the whole folder is then renamed to whatever the subject is followed by the month and year. All the RAW images are removed and dumped into another folder I simply call the Z folder, within here are subfolders sorted by subject name and date taken and contains all my RAW images. All backed up over 2 x 1TB drives. 20,124 images in total. simples.
  7. Just saved it, used colour picker to create a brush in the colour of a and drew a line between the two squares (I didn't belive it when I just checked each with the colour picker) Now very confused
  8. I can't see this working. Half the reason people don't pay for it now is because it is so easy to access free of charge. Adobe have to be the most pirated software publisher around, until this is sorted, no amount of payment model tinkering is going to make a difference.
  9. I paid a fiver for my tripod. A very old Slik Pro something or other. One leg like to retract at will, it dosen't allow for portrait and weighs a ton. But if feels a part of me now so I am loathed to replace it until absolutley neccesary!
  10. Thanks all. I have lived here for about 6 months now, the scenery here is superb, some amazing landscapes, beautiful hillsides with rocky granite outcrops....some of the best seascapes I have seen in long time, it's a landscape photographers dream come true....unfortunately I am more at home photographing some old bin in a back alley? ?
  11. Just posting to say Hi! I'm not new to this forum but new to "this" forum. I haven't taken a photo for quite a while, but am now living in Cornwall and hoping to find inspiration soon! Matt.
