  1. I think the program I used on Windows XP was Tweak or something like that, I'll look into it later... maybe someone on here will have some suggestions.
  2. As some of you may recall I purchased a laptop a couple of months ago with Windows 7 installed. When viewing my photos with slide show I find that I can't get the speed at which the images change to my liking. Medium speed is too fast and slow speed is too slow. Is there anything I can do to get the images to change at a speed between medium & slow? I had the same problem with my XP computer, I seem to recall downloading something called Powertoys or some similar name and I then had a lot more control over the speed at which images changed.

Thank you Colin & Kobione... all sorted now.

I've only had my Windows 7 laptop since Christmas, I could have bought one with Windows 8 but I didn't want it because I know others who don't like it. I still prefer XP to be honest but I'm getting used to 7 slowly.

Thank you both... when the effects of the wine have subsided I'll have a play around with it...

Thank you Colin... that has solved my problem although I much prefer the old Outlook Express. I often think progress is a step back and that is definitely the case with Windows Live Mail. The only thing I like about is I can have both Hotmail & BT Yahoo Mail in one place.
  7. I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 installed, it came with Windows Live Mail which is doing my head in. With Outlook Express on XP... click on inbox and you got all your emails from way back. When I click on inbox with Windows Live Mail I just get one email showing. Can someone please tell me how to set it up so that when I click on inbox all emails show.
  8. Some guys just can't make do with small toys like radio controlled cars, they just have to have really BIG toys... http://recombu.com/cars/articles/news/man-builds-f1-car-in-his-shed
  9. Phil... It's obvious you are not a fan of F1 and you didn't see Button go from last to win in Canada a couple of years ago. Fuzzy... I agree with you.
  10. MacLaren may have lost Hamilton but just remember during the three years that Hamilton and Button were team mates it was Button who scored the most points... both constructors points and driver points. As the old sayings go... the race isn't won at the first corner and in order to finish first you first have to finish. Personally I think Button will thrive as he will have a car more to his liking as his driving style and Hamilton's were a mile apart and Perez has a style not too unlike Button's, this must surely help the engineers with design and set up.

  13. I'm a big 'softie', I love stories like this...
  14. Soldiers in Belarus found a little squirrel and brought it to the Warrant Officer. The squirrel was very weak and about to die, so the officer took care of it, fed it like a baby every four hours. Now he has left the army and works as a taxi driver - and the squirrel is always in his pocket, no matter where he goes! 15. Not my scene I'm afraid... sorry.
  16. Absolutely amazing...

  18. It's definately a Fieldfare a member of the Thrush family, they are winter visitors that breed in north and eastern europe, mostly seen in flocks often in the company of Redwings another member of the Thrush family. Their call is a harsh... chack...chack...chack. They feed on berries and fallen fruit like apples, where I lived prior to last April there were flocks of several hundred each winter feeding on cider apples that had fallen and hadn't been gathered up. Lee... if you have any apples especially a bit over ripe this bird will love them. I've never seen them in gardens myself, I think it's probably quite hungry.
  19. I had a phone call from the police about an hour ago to let me know there will be no trial and I won't be needed, I suppose they have to let all witnesses etc know in case they don't find out via the local news.
  20. After I gave the police a statement last July I received a phone call from them in August advising me I would be required in court as a witness next April, I guess now the bloke who commited the offence has topped himself there will be no trial. .. I can't say I'm sorry really, I wasn't looking forward to it much anyway.
  21. ............................... in court as a witness to an attempted murder next door. http://www.malvernga...dead_in_prison/
  22. Regardless of all the debate... I'm damn glad I was able to visit this fantastic place and enjoy it as it is now, I will never ever forget my visit there and I look forward to visiting some other similar places before either they are ruined or I pop my clogs... At 66 years old I need to get on with it, I was the oldest member of the group on this trip.
