No, the vast majority were meadow buttercup, Golden Aster and Cowslips.

I've been looking for a meadow that has soley been used to grow wild flowers and have finally found one near Whitchurch, called Melverly Meadows.
The history of the place is on the Welcome sign - the only thing being it's not very welcoming to the disabled. If you can't walk you can't visit; it's as simple as that.
However, from what I did manage to see is that there are indeed some large meadows that are teemong with wild flowers. I just missed the Cowslip season, the evidence was there with all the Cowslips in seed. A bit later on in the year the predominant colour will be blue
The meadow goes beyond the trees.
The purple flowers are common spotted orchids.

I would say the experiment is working; this is an amazing image.
I have been trying to work out what you did to get such an effect apart from the wacky baccy.

I saw this on Google maps so went for a visit.
Apart from a harrier of some sort flying in front of me while I was assembling the camera, there was very little going on. However, as I'd taken the camera with me ......some panoramas of the fenns and mosses............
So on the way back to the car as I traversed the adjacent canal.........
And just before the car park........the Morris Bridge.

In answer to your question Mark, no I haven't. Looks like a hen bird with PMT. Love the reflections in the final image.

So pleased you finally managed to get to Scotland, Cheryl. I love the first image in your set and agree totally with Clicker about the light from the window.

An absolutely stunning set, Ryebear. Scotland is such a brilliant venue for photography, with it's diverse scenery and weather. I really can't pick a favourite, such is the excellence of the shots. Very well done.

A great set Jon. With all those fortififcations, I do wonder about the history of the place.

Now, what's not to like? A lovely scene, a frame within a frame, a great sky and a stunning composition. Well spotted and executed, Polly.

Now that is an unusual angle - I like it, especially all the different angles of the rooftops.

I've just read up on Mason bees. What an interesting life cycle.

I was there in October of last year, Polly. I went there for the autumnal colours.
If I remember correctly, I had to curtail the tour and visit the restaurant because of a monumental, biblical downpour. The food was excellent.
I shall be going again this summer; I'll give you a bell so we can get something arranged.- 1

Sorry Gareth, I disagree. AI will never replace real life. Everything I have seen here looks artificial, over-stylised and frankly, dead.
