Hi kev7d I also liked the 7D but I had problems with the shutter jamming, it went back to Canon a couple of times and eventually they offered me the 5D as a form of compensation. The 5D is a little heavy for me but I get by. Cheers

Hi all I am looking forward to becoming an active member of this group. I retired 3 years ago and was very lucky to receive an EOS 7D as a leaving gift, after a lot of problems with it, I was upgraded to a EOS 5D Mk3. I really like this camera. I only took to serious photography about 18 months ago and to be honest I have struggled to find a site that will give constructive critiques. I post on Flickr and G+ under "Mike Blythe".... and also signed up to a on-line photography course. We received topics on a weekly basis and posted on the course site for critique and comment. Unfortunately most comments were "Good Job or Great Shot"....not exactly helpful to me. As a newbie, I definitely have problems with composition and over processing my photos, as well as many other things. I tend to enjoy Landscape and Seascape photography but I just love learning the art of photography. I hope that I can receive as well as giving advice from you all. Best Regards Mike
