The windscreen looks anomalously clean given the state of the rest of the vehicle (and that it is coming out of its seating).

It is considering there is no roof on the cab James! but when you look close it is not clean at all.

  2. Without a closer look Geoff, and since the badges are missing it is a 1960's BMC made lorry , either a Morris FFK or its Austin equivalent. What is it doing there? well, a convenient stand for that gravity fed red diesel tank for a start :)

  3. Had a wander around our local woods today, Hospital Wood, Risdens and Latton woods were once part of the great forest of Waltham and date back some 900 years. They contain mostly Ash, Birch and Hornbeam,  which in itself was a much favoured wood. The name comes from Horn meaning hard, and Beam, a old english name for trees. Historically these trees were Britain's most prized source of hardwood, used to make tools, coach wheels and gear pegs in traditional windmills. Hawthorn and Blackthorn bushes line the edges of the woods , So just a few images from todays walk :)
