  1. Crikey!

I have done something right at last:) Thank you very much!

I was not feeling in the best of health due to a serious bout of man-flu so for some fresh air decided on a late afternoon walk down the Stort.

I had a feeling the late afternoon sunlight would look good at this spot. Out of three images I took, I settled on this one to keep.

Settings-Manual/ F3.5 / ISO 400 / focal length 18mm / 35mm equivelant-27mm More or less straight out of the camera except for a tweak on the shadows in lighting using 'FastStone'

  3. Thanks all,

No, she isnt hurt thankfully, just tearful and cross because her pride and joy has been dented. We just cannot believe that the same thing has happened again.

I keep threatening to get her one of these to go to work in.....

  4. A few months ago my wife was driving home and got hit from behind by a BMW writing off her beloved Toyota.

We found a temporary car which cost us a fortune in repairs. Three weeks ago we bought her a nice three year old Puegeot 207 with just 20,000 on the clock.

She was driving home tonight when she got hit from behind on the same roundabout just half a mile from home ......by a BMW.

    I give up!

  5. I have driven articulated trucks in Russia on two occasions. I vowed never to go back no matter what amount of money I was offered!

You cannot really get your head around how fast Russians drive in towns, even in amongst other traffic. They all drive with dashboard cameras as in that youtube clip, as their insurance is absolutely sky high. Any evidence that points out the other driver is at fault helps. But then they are all at fault sometimes! Certainly is a :censored: crazy place!

  6. I would like to go back to all the countries I have driven through in my 35 year driving career and actually own a decent camera!

All I had then was a very cheap instamatic or disposable 24 shot types as per attached image below

But a country of choice for a photo shoot for me would be the wilder part of Canada. Not been there but from what I have seen it looks stunning.

  7. I have kept a large-ish website for quite a few years now, but nothing to do with photography. It started out as a free website, but I now pay a few pounds a month to keep it at its current size.

You wont get a www.domain-name.style web address and you will be subject to the hosting service running adverts on your site. But if you can live with that then so far so good. a friend of mine runs his site from a supplier in the Republic of Ireland who seem to be a lot cheaper than the US of A supplier of my web space, so instead of free, look for cheaper as an alternative :smiling: .
