Very atmospheric.

Love these. The little details are something I always miss when out with my camera.
Not something I have done before either Matt. Many have done a lot better with macro lenses, these were just to amuse myself with during a walk yesterday

I think it depends on the photographer. Some people just enjoy taking photos and aren't overly fussed about progressing their skills.
Most that I talk to are actively trying to learn and grow and are open to trying different things and learning new skills.
Personally, I try to make each session something to learn from and I'm not opposed to revisiting a site multiple times to get the shot i want. I wouldn't say anything about either mentality is old fashioned. Just different people with different levels of commitment with different goals.
Well said!

.. a great narrative depicted in this set Colin ....
Its bad enough sending these pictures to the Fire Service and having them use their own phone photos on their webpage...now Clicks is ignoring me .... Only Joking Polly

I like the compression of a telephoto lens on landscapes, adds a little more methinks

A scene that will change dramatically when the summer returns and the sky is blue Matt..... Love Cornwall and its coastline, and being married to a Cornish girl who can make pasties is a bonus

Well chosen and congrats Colin

I came across this scene yesterday, about fifteen Essex Fire & Rescue guys involved in the rescue of this inquisitive calf that fell in the river and couldnt get out. The calf had been in the water for some time

A great view all the same, I tend to leave things in as....they are there in the first place like the copper roof that has the green patina.
But, I agree the lifebelt and roof were a little oversaturated.

Matters not how many views of a favoured place, every photo has its own different aspects

Another great set Paul....
,,, I often wonder what the neighbours think when they see you creeping around with a camera at midnight...
