Taken from five miles away on my 500mm lens, the new Wrights Flour mill to the left and the former Glaxo research labs that are in the process of becoming the new home for Public Health England bask in the evening sun.

A really good set of images from this now famous little town David, I used to struggle in one or two places trying to get the truck through especially when trying to deliver to a local farm during the festival days!
Nicely processed too

A great set Geoff. It is a strange design, but oddly pleasing, I wonder why this was demolished?

Went out for a walk with a mate looking for Barn Owls this evening, no joy but I did take a photo..the first for many weeks!

Both equally good to my eyes Leon, I'm sure there is a market amongst the participants for images of them 'doing their thing'

So quintessentially English Polly, and processed with your usual thoughtful style, beautiful wall hanger that..

See this through Dee and come out the other side smiling, best thoughts and wishes to you

Superb Paul

You have a great knack of producing photographs that would look good on any wall John, your foreground interest of the boat and the estruary leading you to the background hills melting into the distance..great composition!

Thanks all for the kind remarks so far,This is my fifth such memorial , the first back in 2005 for RAF Hunsdon, the second airfield memorial a year later for RAF Sawbridgeworth, followed by the Roll of Honour plaque that cost us £ 3500 with the names and ranks of the 126 airmen killed on operations from RAF Hunsdon, this was created in 2012.
The first aircrew crash site memorial was for a young Canadian crew killed at Little Hallingbury Essex while trying to land in bad weather at RAF Hunsdon in 1944, attended by the niece and Nephew of the pilot, they came all the way from Canada just for a day ! and was filmed free of charge by a media company .this film is highlighted here as we are still very proud of it

.. the only way Governments know how..Tax on electric cars and chargers!
-
I didnt know that! , thats the last time I will pay at the pump!
-
The great rush to get us all electric in the near future, a move that will hit the poorer community who may only afford and older car for essential travel. We discussed getting an electric car but there is nowhere, absolutely nowhere for us to run a charger cable to the only place we can park our cars, or we either move house or stick to fossil fuels for as long as we can!

That first one is very evocative to which your caption eludes to a certain darkness.
