Was this a freight loco Geoff, looks a bit ...brutal for a passenger loco..
-
I was wondering that too, unless they were replaced to enable covid cleaning to be made easier?
I would be interested to know how you processed the images john, simple lightroom or photoshop and layers?
-
Gorgeous, both in composition and style John.

Really amazing Polly, these are very clever and artistic photos that you have created

No techical merit, just observational photos from a walk around the farm a day or so ago, rain due so the stops are out to get the Barley in.
The product, Barley still grown locally for the Malt industry .
Combining.
A splash of colour.
Grain Hauling

Here's to a long and happy relationship for the pair of you, she is a super looking cat Cyril..I would love another cat but the wife said she couldnt cope with losing another. Hope you get back to normal soon.

Very well done despite a little noise, You need a good wide angle lens David, cannot recommend a Tokina f2.8 11-16 enough

Sitting here watching this with my 6 year old Grandson, he too thought it was really good and the first time he has seen a Steam train, next time it will be in real life I says ...

We have had some spectacular colours recently, deep orange and red skies. Been out a few evenings hoping to catch sight of Barn owls without success. But its a pleasant place to stand and admire the scenery for an hour or two, and this is helping me to get back to taking photos even if they are a tad on the mundane side!
Last evening..after no sign of Owls for the past hour the Tokina 11-16mm came out of the bag.
Back to the 200-500mm for this..
And back to the Tokina..
A deepening hue in the sky..
And we waited for the sun to drop into the orange patch under the cloud on the horizon..
and the beautiful afterglow...

The moors look so bleak when you drive along the M62, but beautiful when you are actually in them it seems.
